The Toyota Innova is a compact Multi Purpose Vehicles developed by Toyota. It is produced in Indonesia under visions by Toyota Astra Motor since 2004. As with Toyota Kijang, which it replaced, the Innova is produced and first marketed in 2004 in Indonesia. The Innova is part of Toyota’s IMV program together with the Hilux Vigo pickup truck and the Fortuner SUV. Its official name in Indonesia is Toyota Kijang Innova, while for other countries it is Innova. The Innova is also have market in India in India (replacing the Toyota Qualis), Malaysia (replacing the Toyota Unser), the Philippines (replacing the Toyota Revo), Taiwan (replacing the Toyota Zace surf), Vietnam (replacing Toyota Zace), Jamaica and Thailand. Now the Toyota is planing to launch its Innova Facelift in the Indian market in 2016. Here are the following details regarding the New Toyota Innova 2016 leaked – Reports.
The above shown is the first spy leaked photo of the next-generation Toyota Innova Multi Purpose Vehicle. Toyota’s best-selling model in India, the now-days Innova has been on sale in India from 2005 and this next-generation model is going to come in our market in 2016.
As can be seen in the leaked photo, the nose of the latest Toyota Innova takes indication from Toyota’s more fresh models like the Corolla Altis and the Camry. The large hexagonal grille with two big chrome slats on top that flow into the headlamps is wider and taller and flows all the way into the downside of the front bumper. The headlamps seems to be double-barrel projector units and could even have integrated LED daytime running lamps. The bottom half of the bumper is largely sculpted, and the fog lamp entered mirror the shape of the headlamps and flow into the grille. Talking about the sides, there’s no escaping the mono-volume, van similar shape, but there are lots of signs that show Toyota’s effort to live out things up. There’s the redesigned glass area, which kinks upwards sharply after the rear doors. Also, there is a renowned character line that runs from the rear and gels with the front wheel quadrant. There’s also a sharp character line that runs below the window line to meet the bonnet and headlamps. Even the wheel arches have vaulting, which extend to the lower half of the doors and give them a bit more character.
Most likely its current version, the new Innova is thereafter based on Toyota’s Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle (IMV) platform that also underpins the Hilux pick-up truck and the Fortuner SUV. This means, it will continue to be based on a ladder-frame chassis. Still, the overhangs look a bit longer than the previous Innova, and this could imply more interior room. Toyota is expected to focus on room in the third row and also improve on interior quality in the new car.
The next-generation Innova is expected to use the same engines as the current car but they will be tuned for better fuel-efficiency and less noise, and will be compatible with upcoming Bharat Stage VI norms. We expect the new Toyota Innova to make its Indian debut at the 2016 Auto Expo.
