It has not only a nice interior but also good exterior. Swift Dzire is compact sedan car. Maruti Suzuki would be looking a grab some of its market share with the launch of the Swift Dzire. It has also latest features upgraded in it that why it makes Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire in top ten diesel cars in India. Here we are sharing Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire in Diesel Review in Detail, so you can easily compare it with other.
The Dzire is based on the new Swift so it gets from the fact that interior space has been kept according to customer comforts. From the driver’s seat, the interiors are an absolute delight. The new steering wheel, new dashboard and all the other new trim bits from the new Swift Dzire have been carried over in to the new Dzire. Moreover Maruti Suzuki has packed the Dzire to the hilt with goodies which includes integrated stereo on higher models, climate control air conditioning as well as host of safety features such as front dual SRS airbags, ELR seat belts, ABS, Brake Assist, EBD and Engine Drag Control system. A neatly tucked-in turn indicator is incorporated on the Outside Rear View Mirrors to give them a great new look.
The new Swift Dzire spruces some changes like a completely new grille. A slatted grille is neither seen on Swift hatchback nor Swift Dsire sedan. Measuring 3995mm in length, the new Dzire still manages to offer more than its hatchback sibling in terms of space. Even though the wheelbase of the new car is about 40mm longer than the previous car. It has bigger headlamps with completely new tail lamps which looks better. The rear door is larger than earlier. The bumper incorporate wider and fog lamp enclosures. With all these are exterior changes it become most popular car in India.
Swift Dzire has power steering which make easy to drive it for driver. The steering wheel has great adjustability and can be arranged to suit each driver’s posture which makes it easy to drive it even on rough roads. The biggest difference between saloon and hatch is the softer rear suspension setup in the Dzire. What this means is that the ride, especially at the rear, is more pliant and the suspension, like the new Swift’s, is quite refined for a car of this class and price. The rear does tend to bob when the car is fully loaded though. The steering is enough accurate for highway speed.
The engine’s power delivery has been tuned to be far less spiny than earlier Dzire, so power comes in more smoothly when the turbo comes on. The Swift Dzire is powered by engines that power the hatchback as well. The 1.3 L diesel variant peaks at 74 BHP of power at 4000 rpm and can generate a maximum torque of 190 NM at 2000 rpm. The engine is tellingly modified and smooth at low and mid-rmps, but really doesn’t like being stretched to its redline. It’s engine, gearbox and kerb weight are identical to the Swift, the 13.4sec 0-100kph time is almost identical. It is beyond this where the Dzire’s slightly slipperier shape gives it a two-second advantage to 140kph. Even the in-gear times are, not surprisingly, very similar to the Swift.
Efficiency & Mileage Review
Fuel economy is almost same as the Maruti Swift’s in the city, but the better aerodynamics make it more efficient on the highway. The diesel engine is similar to the one on the new Swift. It is mated with 5-speed gearbox. The 1.3 L diesel engine is more powerful than the 1.2 L engine and it delivers around 23 kmpl mileage and it peaks at 74 bhp of power at 4000 rpm and generate a maximum torque of 190 NM at 2000 rpm. The wonderful mileage is delivered by the new DDis engine, which comes with a fuel injection system that is powered by a turbocharger and an intercooler, which makes combustion better.
