Hero Motocorp Ltd., formerly Hero Honda, is an Indian motorcycle and scooter manufacturer based in New Delhi, India. The company is the largest two wheeler manufacturer in the world. In India, it has a market share of about 46% share in 2-wheeler category. The 2006 Forbes 200 Most Respected companies list has Hero Honda Motors ranked at #108.
Hero MotoCorp, is working on two new bikes and two new scooters for a launch in upcoming months. Unlike the current crop of Hero two wheelers, all the four upcoming Hero bikes in India will be powered by its own motors. While Hero is yet to officially announce the details of its upcoming products, it has now become pretty much for sure that one of these would be the Dash 110cc automatic scooter that we saw earlier at the Auto Expo 2014. The Hero Dash launch could be just a few months away, as the scooter has been recently spotted testing with almost minimal camouflage.
Hero Dash Price In India
The Hero Dare official price will be announced only at the time of its launch, but it would be safe to guess that the Dash 110cc scooter will be priced at INR 55,000 (approx). The Dash will going to give direct rivalry to the hot selling Honda Activa.
Hero Dash Launch Details
As we said earlier, Hero MotoCorp is yet to announce the Hero Dash launch date. However, our guess is that the upcoming Hero automatic scooter could be officially launch around this year’s festive season.
Hero Dash Technical Specs
Hero Dash automatic scooter will be a 111cc, single-pot, air-cooled petrol motor that will come mated with a CVT. This motor has a maximum power of 8.44 bhp and and peak torque of 9.4 Nm. The scooter is likely to have a true top speed of around 102 km/h. The Dash will have telescopic front forks. Also, while it will have a 12-inch wheel at the front, the rear wheel measure 10 inches in diameter. Both the wheels will come shod with 90/90 spec rubber. As seen in the spy pics, the scooter will have drum brakes at both ends. However, we are hoping that Hero would offer an optional front disc brake.
Hero Dash Looks and Features
Not like the Pleasure, which has been targeted solely at the female clientele, the Dash should appeal to both the sexes. That said, it won’t be too wrong to say that the Dash, much like the Activa, would target middle-aged men who are in the market for full-grown scooter that can be used for commuting and to run an errand.
The upcoming automatic scooter from Hero MotoCorp would have features such as a mobile charging dock, an external fuel lid and a digital speed console.
