The Bajaj Pulsar is a motorcycle brand owned by Bajaj Auto in India. Presently there are five variants available, with engine capacities of 135 cc, 150 cc, 180 cc, 200 cc, and 220 cc. The two wheeler was manufactured by the product engineering division of Bajaj Auto in association with Tokyo R&D, and later with motorcycle designer Glynn Kerr. Pulsar claimed a 2011 market share of 47% in its section. By April 2012, more than five million units of Pulsar were sold. Before the introduction of the Pulsar, the Indian motorcycle market trend was towards fuel efficient, small capacity motorcycles (that formed the 80–125 cc class). Bigger motorcycles with higher capacity virtually did not exist. The launch and success of Hero Honda CBZ in 1999 showed that there was demand for performance bikes. Bajaj took the cue from there on and launched the Pulsar twins in India on 24 November 2001. Below we share you about the Bajaj Pulsar 160 Ns Launch Date.
Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS
This new upcoming pulsar is look very similar to the old pulsar 200NS who is elder brother of this 160Ns pulsar bike. It was earlier being expected that the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS would be a complete substitution for the highly successful P150 DTSi. Now, it seems like Bajaj is not in a mood to give up on its old workhorse and would instead sell the 160NS alongside its decade old warrior. The Pulsar 160NS could be priced around INR 75,000 and would go on sale in next year before winter. The bike will borrow a lot of design cues from the 200NS and would boast of a similar street naked design. With a 160 cc power plant belting out around 16PS of power, and a lower overall weight, the 160NS should be among the more performance focused models in its segment.
Expected Price – Rs. 70,000 – 75000
As we expect about this bike is going to be a great hit on the road of India. With the launch of bikes like Suzuki Gixxer 155, Yamaha FZ-S Version 2.0 and Honda CB Trigger, the demand for nude bikes on its peak in our country. To change this sentiment, Bajaj too is readying the Pulsar 160NS that might replace the Pulsar 150cc. While Pulsar 200 SS and 400 SS will be more premium products at higher price brackets, Bajaj Pulsar 160cc will be an affordable offering like the Pulsar 150. The Pulsar 160NS will feature a new 160cc, single-cylinder engine that will be based on the engine powering 200NS. That said, the engine is expected to be air-cooled in nature unlike the 200NS. Also, the gearbox will be a five-speed transmission. There is not much revealed about this bike’s mileage and fuel consumption but we can say that it should be better to hit the market like India where mileage is a great factor affect the sale of a product.
