Audi Q3 Facelift – Changed Or Not

The Audi Q3, the smallest member of Audi’s ‘Q’ SUV family was introduced in India back in June 2012 as an imported vehicle. The Q3 facelift gets a new front fascia with a Single frame grille, a new bumper with larger air-dams and redesigned headlights with optional LED lighting. Other cosmetic changes include new alloy wheel patterns and a mildly revised rear bumper.

Inside, the Q3 facelift could get a new steering wheel and new accents for the dashboard and door trims. There won’t be any drastic changes however. The car has amazingly designed interiors. There are numerous features on the inside and it has been designed keeping aesthetic appeal and comfort in mind. The car’s interiors have been designed with materials that give it a highly luxurious and plush look. The seat upholstery has been done with the help of leatherette in B-grain or L- grain. There are rear floor mats and the luggage floor mats that make it easier to keep the car clean. The headlining of the car is done in cloth and the whole color scheme is mono metallic and truffle- beige. There are a few changes in the high grade model- which comes with a high gloss package and the inlays in the high grade model are laid in walnut balsamic brown.The lighting on the interiors has been changed into LED lights, for they are far more pleasing.

Audi Q3 Safety, Performance and Features

The Q3 facelift in India will remain same with engine section having the 2.0-liter TDI four-cylinder diesel engine matched to a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox. This engine churn out 177 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, and sends power to all wheels through the Quattro all-wheel drive system. The car is highly efficient and can provide a 17 km/pl mileage on Indian roads, which in itself, is a feat!

The car has a lot of features, starting with the heat insulating glass. There are some additional features in the higher grade model of the car, which comes with different and more powerful lights, acoustic windscreen which helps reduce noise from outside, rain sensors, etc. Both the cars come with LED lights, grey tinted windscreen and the headlight washers. The infotainment center on the car is amazing. There is a 6.5 inch re-traceable display screen on the car and there are 8 passive speakers as well. The music system allows for USB media connectivity, Bluetooth audio streaming, CD drives and connectivity with the Apple iPod and iPhone.There are a lot of safety features added to the car as well- including light and rain sensors, rear parking sensors, front and rear fog lights, central remote locking, alarm and immobilizer, seat belt monitoring, etc.
