Yamaha Saluto Launched In Indian Market at 52000

Yamaha Motor Company Limited (Yamaha Hatsudoki KK), is a Japanese manufacturer of motorcycles, marine products such as boats and outboard motors, and other motorized products. The company was established in 1955 upon separation from Yamaha Corporation, and is headquartered in Iwata, Shizuoka, Japan. They have launched many scooters and bikes but now they are  in 2015 planning to launch Yamaha Saluto for 52000 onwards.

India Yamaha Motors Pvt Ltd. has just launched a new 125cc motorcycle into the fast growing executive commuter segment. The new motorcycle, which is called the Saluto 125, finds itself slotted below the SZ series in Yamaha India’s product portfolio. The upcoming commuter motorcycle will rival the 125cc executive commuters from Bajaj, Hero MotoCorp and Honda. Here, in this post, we have put together all the available information on the Yamaha Saluto 125cc executive commuter bike.

The Saluto is powered by an all-new 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that boasts of Yamaha’s Blue Core technology. Weighing merely 112 kgs, the new bike enjoys a maximum power of 8.3 PS at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.1 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The motor comes mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The Saluto comes with 130 mm disc brakes at both ends and is built around a diamond frame. The new Yamaha commuter motorcycle is 2,035 mm long, 700 mm wide, 1,080 mm high and has a wheelbase of 1,265 mm. It has a ground clearance of 180 mm and comes with a 7.6-litre fuel tank.

The new Yamaha Saluto 125 has a claimed fuel mileage of 78 km/l. The Yamaha Saluto 125 has gone on sale for INR 52000 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
