The Volkswagen Vento is a subcompact car developed by Volkswagen India, the subsidiary of the German developer Volkswagen, since 2010. Vento is sold in India, Malaysia, Thailand, South Africa, Russia, and Mexico. The car is marketed under the Vento name in India and Mexico. In Malaysia, Thailand, South Africa and Russia it is marketed as the Volkswagen Polo Sedan. The word Vento means ‘wind’ in both Italian and Portuguese. The Volkswagen Vento sedan is a polo based model and this model just got a little makeover for the market. Specifically talking, the car is based on a strung version of the Volkswagen Polo. The Vento sedan has been facing quite some heat of late, what with the advent of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the ever-improving sales performance of the formidable Honda City. There are lots of changes made to the interior and the exterior of the Volkswagen vento they are as follows, Refreshed Headlamp, Passat-like Grille, New Bumpers, New morif for the Taillights, Chrome on exhaust tip and door handles, Horizontal Strip on Boot Lid, Refreshed interior, Refreshed Interior. The Latest Vento gets a chilled glove-box, cruise control, a dead pedal, electrically-operated outside rear-view mirrors with LED turn signals, etc. Even though the overall design of the cabin remains largely unchanged, there will be two new colour schemes on offer – Walnut Desert Beige and Cloud Titanschwarz.
Details on the launch of the facelifted Volkswagen Vento 2015 model are rather scarce, but going by the fact that the first batch of the updated model has started hitting the dealerships, our guess is that the launch of the Vento 2015 could happen anytime now. There is not much big changes have been done on the Engine side but refreshment is made and three different variants are there in the technical field. There is a 1.5-litres, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine with highest power of 105PS and peak torque of 250Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed DSG, 1.2-litres, four-cylinder, turbocharged, direct injection petrol engine with maximum power of 105PS and peak torque of 175 Nm. This engine comes mated with a 7-speed DSG and last but not the least 1.6-litres, four-cylinder, aspirated petrol engine with max. power produced by vento is 105 PS and peak torque of 153 Nm. This engine comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission.
