This vehicle has been equipped with all the standard comfort features like a proficient air conditioning system with heater, speed sensitive electric power steering, all four power windows and central locking system. A royal finishing touch is bought in the car with finely upholstered seats. The new sporty steering wheel feels the driver to be in a speedy racetrack and looks extremely premium with its 3-spoke multifunction. The design of the instrument panel is same as the outgoing trim, but the information display between tachometer and speedometer gets a new color scheme and a few more functions as well. Curved body colored door handles seamlessly flows into the overall design. The rear tail lamps are also redesigned to give a stunning visual and the logo also makes up its style. The headlights now get hexagonal LED elements, a chrome strip at the bottom of the grille links both headlights, and the chin of the car is all-new. What’s particularly nice is the fact that the wider wraparound section now also gets a metallic highlight that runs around the bottom of the fogs. There are fewer changes around the rear, but the car does get an all-new bumper and tail-lights.

Volkswagen is expected to launch the facelifted car in India around May 2014, and the range of engines are likely to remain unchanged. The new engine will only go into production around the end of the year. The motor is designed in such a way to work smoothly and produce low-speed torque.
