The outgoing version of this mid-sized SUV is powered by a 2982 cc, 4 Cylinders 16 Valve DOHC, In-line, D4D Diesel with Inter-cooler Turbocharger engine. It churns out 171 PS of maximum power at 3600 rpm and 343 Nm of peak torque at 1400-3400 and 60 Nm of peak torque at 1400-3200 rpm (2WD AT), mated to 5 speed transmission( automatic or manual). The dimensions of the car are 4705 mm x 1840 mm x 1850 mm (length, width and height respectively). It has a wheelbase of 2750 mm and ground clearance of 221 mm. It is available at a starting price of Rs 22 lakh. For safety purpose it comes with dual front SRS airbags, front disc brakes, ABS with EBD, multi reflector quad lamps etc.
The spy shots do not clear much differences in the exteriors of the car but it is based on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform. It seems to have more space and is expected to be based on IMV platform. More details can not be comprehended since only the rear and side of the car can be seen in the spy shot.
