With this, the overall tally of models in Datsun’s portfolio in India has gone up to two. Absorbingly, this utility vehicle is built with an overall length of just under four meters, which makes it the first ever compact MPV model in India. Another interesting aspect is that it is a seven seat capable model with 2+3+2 seating arrangement. The leg and shoulder space in first two rows are good, but its rear cabin has a crowded space.
Powering this model series is the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, which is currently performing duties for the GO hatchback. The manufacturer has paired this power plant to a 5-speed manual gearbox, which helps it to deliver a peak mileage of approximately 15 to 20.62 Km/pl. The automaker has designed this vehicle on the same body platform on which, their Go hatchback was developed. At the same time, it also borrows many of its cosmetics including the radiator grille and headlight cluster, which makes it look quite identical to the hatch model.
Coming to the interiors, its cockpit is furnished with bench seat, while the gearbox console is integrated to the dashboard. This creates a lot of leg and shoulder space in the first row. This mini MPV is blessed with all standard comfort features including digital tachometer, bench folding third row seats, and remote operation for opening of tailgate and fuel lid. Its top end version is also blessed with advanced feature like speed sensitive power assisted steering system that makes its quite simpler for the driver to handle this hatch.
